Pictures

I don't really feel like posting right now but Sofie is asleep and I am really doing nothing. So here are some cute pictures of Sofie.
She hit her leg on the table last week and had to run to her room and get her pillow and then she needed a rice bag to be just like Mom. What a goofball, but so dang cute.
This was the day that Nathan was ordained a High Priest, and was set apart as a High Councilman. His parents were able to drive over for everything and his Dad was able to do the ordination. Nathan's brother and sister-in-law drove out from Orem and were here for the weekend also. We had a lot of fun and LaDawn was able to stay and help us out after Ken went home. I was so glad she was here, I don't know if we would have survived =).
Nathan and Ken were able to repair the house in 8 hours. They were going to get started right away in the morning but after a trip to Home Depot we had to make a run into Salt Lake for the tool that would help with the siding. They were started around noon and they said it was pretty easy.

My leg is doing better I ended up going back to the doctor and he did a test where he stuck four needles into my leg to test the pressure on the muscles to see if I was going to need surgery luckily I didn't. When he was explaining the test to me he told me that they were dull needles but that they weren't as big as pencils, you also can't numb the leg because that can alter the results which means unnecessary surgery. OH GREAT, but it's over and I still have use of my leg. I had to go in for the 3 hour glucose test last week and everything came back fine. In one weeks time I had 12 needle pokes. I am done with doctors and hospitals until December.

Stupid trick continued

I wanted to add a couple things to the post last night. I was on the drugs they gave me and typing was hard let alone thinking. That was not all Nathan had said He was also very grateful that we were all o.k. and really that was the only thing that mattered. He is very good to us and I am very grateful for him. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has stopped by and who has offered to help. Thank you to Lissel for taking me to the hospital and watching Sofie, that was a big help. And thank you to Andrea who brought us dinner on such short notice. There was even a couple in the ward who stopped by the hospital when we were there. I am glad we live in such a good ward and for everyone that has helped. When I woke up this morning the swelling has gone down a lot and it just feels like I had a bad charlie horse last night. I know we got away with so little damadge and injurys and we are very blessed.
One little side story, after Sofie saw me this morning she was telling Nathan that she had an owie on her leg and then she told me and said that Daddy had kissed it better. She is too funny.

Stupid Trick of the day

Well we had an eventfull day. Sofie and I were going to go to Story time at the library and didn't quite make it. I was pulling out of the driveway and our garage door opener wasn't working so I pulled forward to close the garage door and jumped out forgeting to put the car in park. Here is the result of that two second error.

It was all happening in slow motion, I was running trying to catch up to the van to jump in to stop it and the next thing I know the van knocked me down. I am pretty sure at this point is where the van ran over my leg. I jumped up and put the car in park after it stopped. I turned it off and ran around to get Sofie out. My leg was in some pain, so when I got Sofie out I looked at my leg and it was rather swollen. I had already called Nathan and he was quickly on his way home. I thought I should probably get to the doctor to have my leg looked at and also to check the baby. I called my friend Lissel, all I said while sobbing is "I have to go the the hospital and I don't have a car". She said I'll be there in 5 min. So we get to the ER and they begin doing all the things that happens when you get to sit in the ER forever. Thankfully nothing is broken. They did have me watching for signs that would signal a muscle that is dying and a emergency surgery where the doctor said they would pretty much have to fillet my leg open. I said that's o.k. but I need a blessing now. So anyways Lissel thankfully took Sofie home with her and took care of her until we were home. Nathan and I finally got home and I got a blessing. We had the tow truck come and pull the van out, they towed it to the dealers and guess what, nothing is wrong with the car. Can you believe that after running it through the garage the only thing is a couple scratches and dents. The only thing I can say is that we are truly blessed. I keep thinking of all the different scenarios and this one had to be the best one for something that was going to happen. If the car was in reverse instead of drive who knows where the car would have stopped, probably in the neighbors front room. All in all I have to say that we were really being watched over today, and I am grateful for a Husband that just said it's no big deal it can all be fixed. But everything and everyone is just fine. Sofie didn't even really know what had happened she was just sitting in her seat eating her fruit snacks and the baby is fine too. The heartbeat was normal and everything sounded good.
Here is my leg, I am sure the bruises will change to nice shades in the next couple days. Maybe I will post more pictures later.

Birthday, MTC and random pictures

In the last couple of weeks My parents and youngest sister Laura drove out to Utah to drop Emily of at the MTC. She will be leaving for Australia on Monday, I am sure she is ready to be out in the mission field. We had a birthday party for Sofie when they were here, and she also got another package from Uncle Shawn and Aunt Lanita. She is one rather spoiled little girl. We have been going to the library on Wednesday mornings for story time and Sofie loves it. Every morning when she wakes up she asks to go the the library. We also found a place called the family center where they do story time and preschool prep on Tuesday and Thursdays but they aren't as fun. They don't sing or dance like they do at the library one.
Taking Emily to the MTC, Sofie is such a goof ball.

The birthday party with my parents. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything.

The shoes and coat that Uncle Shawn and Aunt Lanita sent. In the picture where she is opening the box she is saying "shoes". These are all princess shoes and she loves them.

Sofie is helping me make coffee cake. Usually I put on a movie and sit her in front of it when I am trying to get something done. Today I decided why not let her help. I had to stop her from dumping the whole jar of cinnamon in the bowl and trying to dump the whole bowl from great heights but we did fine and the cake turned out great. (like our jello, stove top and twizlers in the back ground. Maybe I should have cleaned up a little bit)
Our little movie star. She went to her friend Elena's birthday party and had a candy bracelet all over her arm so she needed a bath. The glasses and necklace came from the gift bag, and that is her princess towel.
Just a cute one of her sleeping.

No pictures with this one but a cute story. I finally talked Sofie into trying to feel the baby, She was singing to him and telling him "come here baby". Then later in the day she went up to Nathan and pulled up her shirt asking him, while patting her belly, do you want to feel the baby. She is so funny and you never know what she will come up with next.

*****Wow I just realized that I haven't posted since we hooked up the high speed internet, Holy Cow is it a whole lot faster.*****

The morning after

The morning after her birthday she had to play dress up. She had lots of fun and I finally convinced her to take off the clothes to go to the doctor. She is in the 50th percentile for height and weight and she is doing great. Luckily no shots now until she starts school, which I am sure will come way too soon.

Sofie's 2nd Birthday

We had a little birthday party for Sofie today. We had the Cox's and the Dalton's and Chris, Alyssa and Ethan over for cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun, Sofie had a blast running around with all the little kids. She got great things from everyone.
I love this picture of Nathan and Sofie. This is how she looked before church, she didn't look like this 3 hours later.
Here is the back view of her hair and her pretty little bow.
This is the little Nemo cake that I made. I looked all over Utah for the cake toppers and I happened to find them by accident at the dollar store just down the street, go figure.
She was really scared of the candles. That was something unexpected.
These are some of the little girls that came over. Sofie in her new tiara, She is now officially a princess. As if she wasn't already one.
Another one of her funny little faces.
Chris brought things to make bubbles, this was a big hit with all the little kids. They all ended up very soapy, but very happy.
