It was all happening in slow motion, I was running trying to catch up to the van to jump in to stop it and the next thing I know the van knocked me down. I am pretty sure at this point is where the van ran over my leg. I jumped up and put the car in park after it stopped. I turned it off and ran around to get Sofie out. My leg was in some pain, so when I got Sofie out I looked at my leg and it was rather swollen. I had already called Nathan and he was quickly on his way home. I thought I should probably get to the doctor to have my leg looked at and also to check the baby. I called my friend Lissel, all I said while sobbing is "I have to go the the hospital and I don't have a car". She said I'll be there in 5 min. So we get to the ER and they begin doing all the things that happens when you get to sit in the ER forever. Thankfully nothing is broken. They did have me watching for signs that would signal a muscle that is dying and a emergency surgery where the doctor said they would pretty much have to fillet my leg open. I said that's o.k. but I need a blessing now. So anyways Lissel thankfully took Sofie home with her and took care of her until we were home. Nathan and I finally got home and I got a blessing. We had the tow truck come and pull the van out, they towed it to the dealers and guess what, nothing is wrong with the car. Can you believe that after running it through the garage the only thing is a couple scratches and dents. The only thing I can say is that we are truly blessed. I keep thinking of all the different scenarios and this one had to be the best one for something that was going to happen. If the car was in reverse instead of drive who knows where the car would have stopped, probably in the neighbors front room. All in all I have to say that we were really being watched over today, and I am grateful for a Husband that just said it's no big deal it can all be fixed. But everything and everyone is just fine. Sofie didn't even really know what had happened she was just sitting in her seat eating her fruit snacks and the baby is fine too. The heartbeat was normal and everything sounded good.

Stupid Trick of the day
Well we had an eventfull day. Sofie and I were going to go to Story time at the library and didn't quite make it. I was pulling out of the driveway and our garage door opener wasn't working so I pulled forward to close the garage door and jumped out forgeting to put the car in park. Here is the result of that two second error.

Here is my leg, I am sure the bruises will change to nice shades in the next couple days. Maybe I will post more pictures later.

OH MY GOODNESS ALLISON...that's crazy! I am so glad that all 3 of you are ok, that sounds like it was really scary! How sweet of Nathan to be kind and understanding too. Please let Sofie come and play soon so that your leg can rest. Call me if you need anything!
LaDawn called me last night to tell me what happened. You poor thing!I wish I was closer so I could help! Don't worry about stuff it will all work out - right?
Ok, so I know you were probably in way more shock than I was. But now, the next day, I read through your post and started crying. Good tears-tears of gratitude that all is ok. I agree with you 100%, you were truly being watched over.
ALLISON...I can't believe what I just read. I am so glad you, Sophi and the baby are all ok. I'm sorry you had that happen. That is so scary. If you need anything please call me, I would love to help if I can. You may find me hobbling to your door in the next few days. :) We can be gimps together. My broken toe and your hurt leg.
This is unbelievable! I ran into Christel today after school and she told me about it. I am so glad that you and Sofie are ok. Miracle. My goodness.
