I wish I could say that I was doing something productive like making dinner or feeding Kyle while this happened but I wasn't. I was scrapbooking and not paying attention to my child and this is what happens. She saw these markers yesterday in my church bag and really wanted to use them, so I put them away in my room but I guess they weren't hidden enough. It is really hard to be upset when you take their picture and they think they are the greatest thing ever.

Notice her proud smile.

Looks like Zoey and Sofie have been talking about how to be creative when mom isn't looking. Zoey did the same thing, only with pen a few days ago. I was in the shower and she was coloring on paper. I got out and found her in my closet drawing on her legs. It's definitely hard to get mad at them when it's almost funny. :)
At least it wasn't the WALLS!!! my kids did that one to me when we had just finished painting the bedroom doors in the old house and we were showing it that night to two couples...I wasn't very happy butwe have also had it on the arms and legs. Just wait till the two of them get together and start stuff like that!!!
You can't get through the 2's until they have successfully written on themselves with marker...at least it wasn't all over the furniture, right? And for that matter, at least it wasn't permanent marker...that would have been fun! :)
Yes, it wasn't on anything else. Thankfully I didn't have to explain to Nathan why we had marker all over our new carpet. That would not have been fun.
I was thinking the same thing as the others at least it was just on her and not the walls or furniture. She will wash easily enough. Oh and it wasn't Kyle she wrote on!
LOL This is exactly why I really am not that sad that Keric isn't crawling yet!! I can scrapbook, and he is right where I left him when I started. :) Oh the things I have to look forward to.
so I thought this was pretty funny, and then this morning, I opened Mya's door to her covered in marker?! Some friends showed her where they were in a book she has. THEN, I thought it was REALLY funny. Kids!
At least she didn't get a hold of Kyle, that could have been bad.
If is is any consolation, she lift Kile alone, I hope. Sophie is growing up into such a pretty girl, I almost said young lady, but we will give here 10 more years for that title.
Marilyn& Jerry
Hannah (now 3 1/2) does that every day lately-- I let her, since I can justify that it encourages creativity. I know she'll grow out of it eventually. And... I proudly take her out in public with marker all over her. She loves comments from people who see her all "decorated." Enjoy it!
