We needed a new pillow for Sofie, so we went to walmart. (which by the way we just have to pull into the parking lot and she starts saying "sticker" "sticker" pretty sad huh.) We got her a small pillow so I decided to make her a pillow case for it. You would think with how well people in both our families sew that I would know how. Well I can get by with the basics and that is it. We went to the fabric section which is rather small and Sofie saw a lady with frog material all I heard for the next five minutes was "frog". So we found another material that was more girl colors and some other material that matched for the pillow case. Today during her nap I decided that I would break out my sewing machine and just do it. Well I did it! Just don't ask to see it up close becasue I wont show you, It is a pretty sad looking little blanket. Luckily all Sofie cares about are the frogs. We taught her what a frog says the other day and now she loves to say Ribbit. She is too cute.

Looks good from here. I'm sure it's beautiful! Good job.
I think you did a good job with your project. The best thing was you got started & did it. When I first started sewing I got by with was the basics. One time I made 3 pairs of pants and sewed the front legs together on all of them. That was a lot of picking out. It took lots of trying to get to the level that I am at right now. I know that as you keep sewing you will improve as you go. Remember it is in our blood with your grandmothers and great-grandmothers who lead the way with sewing. Grandma Nihart was a professional seamstress. Keep it up!
I think you did great and I am amazed that you would tackle such a project. I wouldn't know where to start. Sofie is adorable!
That is so cute. I love the part about the stickers. Your blanket is so cute and of course Sofie is beautiful.
Way to go Allison! I think it looks great.
