Welcome Shayla Kenly!

Shayla was born on October 25, 2010. She weighed 6lbs 7oz and was 20 in long. She is tiny and perfect. The kids already love her and can't stay away from her. We will see how long that will last, hopefully not much longer for her safety. Sofie has already picked her up and carried her across the room. We haven't even been home for one day. She decided she wanted to come a little earlier than expected but that is o.k. with me. We were able to come home about the time we would have been going in to have her. Sunday night my Mom decided we should time the contractions and I was getting a headache so after an hour I called Labor and Delivery and they told me I needed to come in for an evaluation. After arriving and getting a blessing (thanks Tyler and Lissel Dalton) they hooked me up to the machines and my blood pressure was pretty high. The nurse called the Dr and he said I wasn't going any where this baby was coming soon. They got the surgical team ready and within an hour or two we were on our way to surgery. It was a pretty rough one but luckily it's over and we are now on this side of it with a new little baby to love.
Alright now for some pictures. Beware there are going to be a lot.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch for FHE tonight. The kids looked like scrubs but hey they were just going to get dirty again. Within 30 seconds of being there both kids managed to trip and land face first into the dirt. Nice start. But we had fun walking around and looking for the perfect pumpkin. After that we headed to McD's for some ice cream. Fun way to spend a Monday evening.
This dog belonged to the lady running the place. The kids loved her and Sofie knew everything about her within minutes. She loves dogs and Kyle was loving her too. He isn't as sure about dogs as sister is.

Stitches

Well our first experience with stitches has taken place. Sofie ended up with 3 of them in her eyebrow. She will now match Dad and Mom who all have them in almost the exact same spot but different sides. She somehow fell and sliced it just right. I could tell immediately that it was going to be a trip to the hospital with stitches. Nathan came home within a minute of it happening, he didn't even get in the door, I told him to get right back in the car. She did fairly well considering but it was definitely loud in the ER for a few minutes. The only pictures I have of before are really blurry, it was the best I could do before the camera died. I will have to get some more when the band aid comes off for cleaning. That should be another fun experience.

She got a bear with a bandaid in the same spot. And of course Kyle just has to be in the pictures, he is a stinker.

UPDATE:
I got some better pictures. The first bandaid removal was a success, it happened last night. Now we are off to the store to get special bandaids and a treat to help with the changing of bandaids.

If the shirt fits

I was looking through some older pictures and found these ones. I don't know if you can tell what the shirt says but it is very appropriate. It says "little devil"

Just thought it was funny.

Another older one that is too cute. Had to share.

Friend Birthday and Cake

This is the page that I did for Sofie's friend birthday party. I think she had fun. We played pin the tail on swiper and colored some Dora pages.
This cake took quite a bit of time but I was happy with how it turned out.
She looks pretty happy.
Here are some pictures from the party that you can hopefully see better.
