The morning after

The morning after her birthday she had to play dress up. She had lots of fun and I finally convinced her to take off the clothes to go to the doctor. She is in the 50th percentile for height and weight and she is doing great. Luckily no shots now until she starts school, which I am sure will come way too soon.

Sofie's 2nd Birthday

We had a little birthday party for Sofie today. We had the Cox's and the Dalton's and Chris, Alyssa and Ethan over for cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun, Sofie had a blast running around with all the little kids. She got great things from everyone.
I love this picture of Nathan and Sofie. This is how she looked before church, she didn't look like this 3 hours later.
Here is the back view of her hair and her pretty little bow.
This is the little Nemo cake that I made. I looked all over Utah for the cake toppers and I happened to find them by accident at the dollar store just down the street, go figure.
She was really scared of the candles. That was something unexpected.
These are some of the little girls that came over. Sofie in her new tiara, She is now officially a princess. As if she wasn't already one.
Another one of her funny little faces.
Chris brought things to make bubbles, this was a big hit with all the little kids. They all ended up very soapy, but very happy.

HELP!!!

Would someone with high speed internet tell me if the baby countdown on the side is working. Our internet is too slow and I can't tell if it works. Besides the fact that I am completely computer illiterate, which doesn't help matters. Guess what though the problem with faster internet will astonishingly be remedied this next week. Nathan and I bit the bullet and signed up for high speed. There have been some issues with people not being able to get a hold of Nathan for appointments for church and with Nathan going back to school we figured it was just time to do it.

Happy Birthday to Sofie!!

For Sofie's Birthday (a little early) we pierced her ears. She was so excited to have earrings, but then they did it. I was holding her and she tensed up, she started crying and then I started crying. I looked at Nathan and said how did we do this to our child. I think she got over it long before I did with the help of a lollipop. She couldn't seem to get comfortable last night for bed, she likes to sleep on her belly and wasn't able to do that. But she really likes them and will touch them and and just say earrings.
Here is another treat she got after the ordeal. (Ice Cream)
We went to pick Nathan up from work on Friday and Julie his boss had a present for Sofie. I love her expression in the first picture. This is pretty typical response for just about anything new. But I think it was because of the shoes that were attached to the outfit. She is all about the shoes.
The other day we were able to go the the zoo with out friend Melissa and her little girl Zoey Her Mom and some other family members. They were able to get us in for free and it was great. Sofie had a great time and as you can see by the second photo was getting a little hot. The last picture is most of the kids that went with us.

New Pictures

Oh, what a girl can do in high heels. If I don't keep my bedroom door closed she is in my closet digging out pairs of shoes.

A lady at Nathan's work gave us some things for Sofie and the new baby. One of the things was this helmet. She would not take it off the first day we got it. She had to wear it the whole way through dinner.

I guess it's pretty boring around here. Sofie invented a new game called swinging from the table.

It's a...

BOY!!
We got back from the ultrasound not that long ago. The first view that she saw when she said it was a boy we kind of just had to believe her, then she was able to get a better view and we were both pretty sure that she was right. He was very active and moving around a lot. I am measuring at December 15th which is just a day before I thought the due date was. So know we are going to be hitting the garage sales faithfully. If anyone knows someone who is done with kiddos and wants go get rid of some boy clothes for a good price, please let us know. We are really excited but also kind of nervous, I know how to handle the girls not so much the boys. Andrea did say that their hair is easier to do though which is good since Sofie's hair always looks so crazy. We are pretty sure that we have a name but we are going to leave it until he is born and see what seems like the best. If this was another little girl I don't know if we would have gotten through this, boy names were so much easier for us. We will keep you posted how the pregnancy is going.

Funny Girl

This is what I found when I went to check on Sofie, she was sound asleep. I usually check to make sure she is still on her bed. The other day before she finally fell asleep I had to go in 2 or 3 times and take her shoes off of her, and take all the books out of her bed. For the most part I will let her read for a little bit before she falls asleep, I guess today the book was to heavy to hold any longer.

Sofie has become quite the pack rat lately. It isn't very often that you see her with out her two purses, phone, keys, water, baby, stroller and anything else she can shove in the purses or stroller. Here she is showing her keys that she has to at all times know where they are. She will put her shoes on and pick up the purses and key and announce that she is going "shoppin". When you ask where she is going she replies "store" She is rather funny.

She quickly made this her exercise ball rolling all around the house on top of it. It looses air quickly so it was flat within minutes.

We went to the pool with the Cox Family last Saturday, Sofie had a lot of fun. We don't have pictures at the pool but this is what she looked like when we came home. Nice hair!
