An Attempt

I thought I would make an attempt to document our lives the last month or so. So more pictures and hopefully less words.

Sofie was jipped out of a birthday party around her real birthday and was wondering how that happened when we started talking about her brothers. So she had a low key one just a week or so ago.
There really are no words for this little troublemaker.
This little whozit is taking after her brother quite nicely. She is so naughty.
For Kyle's party we had a couple little boys over.
Right now he loves he-man and thundercats and SWORDS. Of couse Dad is super thrilled about this (I am thinking it brings back his childhood). Do you know the only way to get heman stuff is on ebay and it is pretty cutthroat.
Gran D and Grandpa Clark got him a motorcylcle and a thundercat figurine. He loves them.
Grandma and Grandpa Rock got him a thundercat sword. Another love.
Remember the sword infatuation. He wanted a sword cake. Don't laugh it was the best I could come up with. He loved it though, that's what counts.
We put Sofie in dance this last year and she had the chance to dance in the nutcracker. She had fun and especially loved getting flowers after. I think she felt pretty special.
I think this picture is hilarious.
She was able to perform one more time for the Walmart Christmas party.
An attempt at a Christmas picture. As you can tell a total fail as I am missing a whole kid.
Decorating the Christmas tree
I had to wash her blankets today. Obviously she is not thrilled.

So there you go. I am sure I have missed an awful lot but I think that is a pretty good try.

Family Pictures

WARNING: Picture overload, I couldn't pick.
We had Christel take some family pictures for us yesterday. I think they are great. But poor Sofie had an extremely runny nose and did not feel the best. She did great though.

The backyard

The backyard has been a huge project this summer. Well honestly for quite a few summers. But we are almost there. There are just a few more things that we need to do but that will have to wait till next year. We are so excited to have it done and it looks great. We had the sod delivered today around 9:30 and because we were the recipients of a service project it was done by 10:45. Amazing, now we are going to go and stare at it.

It's been a while

I uploaded my pictures from the last couple of weeks and am now very overwhelmed. There are so many I don't know where to start. So we will see how this goes.

A couple weeks ago Auntie L came to visit for a week. The kids had a BLAST finding rollie pollies with her.

We started giving Shayla solids a while ago. She took a little while to warm up to it but now she loves it.

Sofie graduated from Preschool. She was a sheep in the mother goose story time. She is now onto kindergarten. Where did the time go?

Kyle is the messiest eater I have ever known.
We are working on finishing our backyard. Kyle loves to be a helper.

This is the wall and flower bed that Nathan built for me. I love it. and can't wait for everything to fill in the way I am envisioning it.
Sofie was sick yet again and this is how she fell asleep one of the days. Does not look comfortable.
Being a great helper.
Obviously I think these are two of the cutest girls around.

We pierced Shayla's ears yesterday. She sure is cute but she doesn't need her ears pierced for that.

A Conversation

I just heard Sofie and Kyle having this conversation.

Sofie: Come on it's time to go to Africa.
Kyle: Where is Africa?
Sofie: It's in Japan.

It could still hear them talking about Africa but that is what I caught. They are so funny.
