Shayla's newborn pictures and Blessing
My Mom was able to take some newborn pictures of Shayla. It was quite an ordeal but we got a ton of cute ones. Here are just some of the ones she took.

My Mom also made her blessing dress and LaDawn made her little hat. We blessed her here at home, it was just family so it was pretty low key.

The five of us
My family (minus Auntie L)
Nathan's family (minus Cammie and family)
We sure are grateful for Shayla and what she means to the family. The kids love her and can't get enough of her. Kyle can't walk by her without kissing and loving on her.

Halloween and cute pictures
For Halloween Sofie was a poodle skirt girl as she kept saying and Kyle was a construction worker or Bob the builder. Dad and Auntie Em took them around the block. It was so cold and rainy that they didn't go very far. When they got back Sofie's feet were soaked and red from the water. But they had fun.

Helping Sofie put on some lip gloss.

Pumpkin Patch
We went to the pumpkin patch for FHE tonight. The kids looked like scrubs but hey they were just going to get dirty again. Within 30 seconds of being there both kids managed to trip and land face first into the dirt. Nice start. But we had fun walking around and looking for the perfect pumpkin. After that we headed to McD's for some ice cream. Fun way to spend a Monday evening.

Stitches
Well our first experience with stitches has taken place. Sofie ended up with 3 of them in her eyebrow. She will now match Dad and Mom who all have them in almost the exact same spot but different sides. She somehow fell and sliced it just right. I could tell immediately that it was going to be a trip to the hospital with stitches. Nathan came home within a minute of it happening, he didn't even get in the door, I told him to get right back in the car. She did fairly well considering but it was definitely loud in the ER for a few minutes. The only pictures I have of before are really blurry, it was the best I could do before the camera died. I will have to get some more when the band aid comes off for cleaning. That should be another fun experience.
UPDATE:
I got some better pictures. The first bandaid removal was a success, it happened last night. Now we are off to the store to get special bandaids and a treat to help with the changing of bandaids.
