Tonight for FHE we went to the pumpkin patch. There is a little family run patch here in town and there were quite a lot of pumpkins. I am thinking that there would have been more if we went a couple days earlier. But that is o.k. we still got two really good pumpkins and some really cute pictures. We definitely came back a whole lot dustier and a little cold, but it was worth it.

Life goes by so fast.
Tonight when Nathan came home dinner was not made. So being the husband and father that he is, he just started making it. I am very grateful for him and all he does for us. Hopefully after this baby is born food will be more appetizing to me. Sofie of course just had to be under dad's feet, so instead of chasing her out of the kitchen he put her to work.
I surprised her with the camera

She did a very good job of ripping the lettuce apart and putting it in the bowl. I think that sometimes we just think that she is our baby and to little to be able to do things and then we are reminded that she is growing up and able to do so much more than we give her credit for.

Sunday morning after Nathan left for his meetings I fell back to sleep on the couch and Sofie woke me up when she had taken her pjs off. She wanted to wear her tights and church shoes, I made her put on the sweater and the hat. Then we were playing keep away with the camera flash. She thought she was being so funny. (just don't tell her that she really was funny)
Here she is watching her morning movie so that Mom can get into the shower.

Happy end of November...
Oh wait, it's still only October 11th.
This is what we woke up to this morning

It was only 34 degrees when we woke up today and it didn't get much warmer the whole day. We were going to Nathan's cousins baptism today down in riverton so we decided to make a day of it and head to Gardner Village before hand. This also meant that Sofie would not be getting a nap for the day. Was this stupid? We don't know we will let you know tomorrow. When we arrived at the village it was still COLD, so we walked around for a little bit in the rain and took pictures. We did this with Sofie last year and what a difference a year makes. She was onery (big surprise) and didn't want her picture taken. We had so many cute ones from last year that I thing we were trying to recreate it. We didn't get as many as last year but there were some cute ones. She was able to wear her new coat from Aunt Lanita and Uncle Shawn, She was rather cute in it.

We decided to head to the mall instead and just ended up walking around for a little bit. Then we headed over to the Oakeson's for Jarek's baptisim. It was nice and we were able to see family, Grandma and Grandpa Rock were there from Idaho and lots of Jarek's family from the other side were there. On the way home we put a movie on for Sofie so hopefully she wouldn't fall asleep before we got home but that was a joke. That kid was out cold before to long, I tried to wake her up and her head fell forward and she couldn't even pick it back up. When we got home at 6:30 she went to bed and fell asleep almost right away and now we will see what time she wakes up in the morning.
We had a very fun and full day and now Nathan and I are going to crash too.

Pictures
I don't really feel like posting right now but Sofie is asleep and I am really doing nothing. So here are some cute pictures of Sofie.
She hit her leg on the table last week and had to run to her room and get her pillow and then she needed a rice bag to be just like Mom. What a goofball, but so dang cute.
This was the day that Nathan was ordained a High Priest, and was set apart as a High Councilman. His parents were able to drive over for everything and his Dad was able to do the ordination. Nathan's brother and sister-in-law drove out from Orem and were here for the weekend also. We had a lot of fun and LaDawn was able to stay and help us out after Ken went home. I was so glad she was here, I don't know if we would have survived =).
Nathan and Ken were able to repair the house in 8 hours. They were going to get started right away in the morning but after a trip to Home Depot we had to make a run into Salt Lake for the tool that would help with the siding. They were started around noon and they said it was pretty easy.
My leg is doing better I ended up going back to the doctor and he did a test where he stuck four needles into my leg to test the pressure on the muscles to see if I was going to need surgery luckily I didn't. When he was explaining the test to me he told me that they were dull needles but that they weren't as big as pencils, you also can't numb the leg because that can alter the results which means unnecessary surgery. OH GREAT, but it's over and I still have use of my leg. I had to go in for the 3 hour glucose test last week and everything came back fine. In one weeks time I had 12 needle pokes. I am done with doctors and hospitals until December.

Stupid trick continued
I wanted to add a couple things to the post last night. I was on the drugs they gave me and typing was hard let alone thinking. That was not all Nathan had said He was also very grateful that we were all o.k. and really that was the only thing that mattered. He is very good to us and I am very grateful for him. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has stopped by and who has offered to help. Thank you to Lissel for taking me to the hospital and watching Sofie, that was a big help. And thank you to Andrea who brought us dinner on such short notice. There was even a couple in the ward who stopped by the hospital when we were there. I am glad we live in such a good ward and for everyone that has helped. When I woke up this morning the swelling has gone down a lot and it just feels like I had a bad charlie horse last night. I know we got away with so little damadge and injurys and we are very blessed.
One little side story, after Sofie saw me this morning she was telling Nathan that she had an owie on her leg and then she told me and said that Daddy had kissed it better. She is too funny.
