New Pictures

Oh, what a girl can do in high heels. If I don't keep my bedroom door closed she is in my closet digging out pairs of shoes.

A lady at Nathan's work gave us some things for Sofie and the new baby. One of the things was this helmet. She would not take it off the first day we got it. She had to wear it the whole way through dinner.

I guess it's pretty boring around here. Sofie invented a new game called swinging from the table.

It's a...

BOY!!
We got back from the ultrasound not that long ago. The first view that she saw when she said it was a boy we kind of just had to believe her, then she was able to get a better view and we were both pretty sure that she was right. He was very active and moving around a lot. I am measuring at December 15th which is just a day before I thought the due date was. So know we are going to be hitting the garage sales faithfully. If anyone knows someone who is done with kiddos and wants go get rid of some boy clothes for a good price, please let us know. We are really excited but also kind of nervous, I know how to handle the girls not so much the boys. Andrea did say that their hair is easier to do though which is good since Sofie's hair always looks so crazy. We are pretty sure that we have a name but we are going to leave it until he is born and see what seems like the best. If this was another little girl I don't know if we would have gotten through this, boy names were so much easier for us. We will keep you posted how the pregnancy is going.

Funny Girl

This is what I found when I went to check on Sofie, she was sound asleep. I usually check to make sure she is still on her bed. The other day before she finally fell asleep I had to go in 2 or 3 times and take her shoes off of her, and take all the books out of her bed. For the most part I will let her read for a little bit before she falls asleep, I guess today the book was to heavy to hold any longer.

Sofie has become quite the pack rat lately. It isn't very often that you see her with out her two purses, phone, keys, water, baby, stroller and anything else she can shove in the purses or stroller. Here she is showing her keys that she has to at all times know where they are. She will put her shoes on and pick up the purses and key and announce that she is going "shoppin". When you ask where she is going she replies "store" She is rather funny.

She quickly made this her exercise ball rolling all around the house on top of it. It looses air quickly so it was flat within minutes.

We went to the pool with the Cox Family last Saturday, Sofie had a lot of fun. We don't have pictures at the pool but this is what she looked like when we came home. Nice hair!

finally some pictures

I have finally gotten around to getting some pictures up here. Sofie has been sleeping in her big girl bed for the last two nights. The first night I went in around 3am to check on her and she was kneeling by her bed sound asleep, I am not sure if she slipped and never woke up or if she was awake and couldn't get back in her bed. Last night pretty much the same thing. Both nights we laid her down and she never got up I was very happy about that. This morning when Nathan left for work I checked on her and her leg was hanging off the side but I left her because I didn't want her to wake up when I checked her again she was back on the bed. Then around 7:15 or so she woke up and I couldn't get up so she stayed in her bed and played until 8:00 when I went in there to get her out. I have to say this is working out better than I thought it was going to(I hope I don't jinx it).
When we were on vacation Sofie fell in love with Laura's boyfriend. He has recently returned from Iraq so my Mom sent Sofie some clothes and one of the outfits was a shirt that said my Hero wears combat boots with a camo skirt and butt cover. Right now Sofie is just wearing the skirt (I don't think she could find the shirt, probably in the dirty clothes). There was another little dress that was really cute. She wore it to church yesterday. This was the best picture I could get of the second outfit and she had to have the shoes on which were quite a bit to big. Oh well she was having fun. This is an outfit that Aunt Lanita sent to Sofie, it's a 3T so I thought it might be to big right now but its really cute when it's a little big. The shoes are from Aunt Sarah and they are fur lined (fake of course) but she had to wear them. It's close to 100 degrees outside, she wouldn't take them off to go outside finally I pulled them off under great protest and her feet were drenched in sweat. I also trimmed her bangs, I don't know if you can tell in this picture or not. She looks pretty cute now, but I messed up her pigtails when I trimmed them. But since she only has pigtails on Sundays it's not that big of a deal.
Here she is on her new mattress for her bed.

Here are a couple of pictures from vacation.

Overwhelmed

Right now I am so overwhelmed by pictures and the thought of having to sort through them and figure out what is what. I know that we didn't get some pictures that we wanted to, for some reason we never seem to get pictures with Nathan's parents and Sofie together. So for right now I will put a couple up just to get some new pictures on here. We are maybe seeing them in august so we have a mission when we see them again.

In other news, I went to the Dr's today for the regular appt and they were having quite a bit of trouble finding the baby's heartbeat. I was pretty close to going to the hospital for an ultrasound but another tech was finally able to get it. She even was having trouble finding it. So after some rather scary moments they found it and everything sounded good.

one more makes four

We are adding to our little family. We are going to be having a baby in December, that makes us about 15 weeks along. We are very excited and a little nervous. I am due on the 16th but will most likely have to have another c-section so it will probably happen between the 5th-10th, which is o.k. it will be a little farther from Christmas. Right now we are completely rearranging our house to get ready for this new addition.

We also just got back from vacation and need to get some pictures posted. We had a great time visiting with Family. We were able to see Nathan's newest nephew Ty who is super cute and so little. My youngest sister Laura graduated from high school, and my sister Emily was able to receive her endowments in order to go on her Mission to Australia. We had a busy but fun two weeks and are glad to be back home in our own beds. Now we are headed to Idaho for the weekend to attend a Rock Family reunion. It might be a couple days before you get any pictures, sorry.

We have been sick the past couple of weeks. First we had a stomach flu that was nasty. I got it a couple hours before Nathan and he didn't believe me he thought I was being a wuss. That thought changed at midnight when it hit him. Know we have a cold. Sofie is I hope getting over hers, mine is in full swing and Nathan is just getting in to his. I am sick of being sick. Anyways, I know you all wanted to hear about that, but here are some pictures of Sofie. Since most of you (grandparents) just want pictures and less writing I will say very little about each one.

This was a styrophome(sp) sheet. Ever try to clean these out of a kids nose? not easy!

She can get around pretty far in some pretty high heals.
I guess we don't feed her enough.

Grandpa and cousin Ethan.
It's so hard to get this kid inside anymore.
Just a funny picture. She put it on herself.
O.K. one story. We bought this dress for her after we went to dinner one night at cracker barrel. We thought she was done with the flu. Well she wasn't while in the middle of dinner it all came back up and sprayed the whole table. The poor waiter was so nice and cleaned it all up for us. We needed diapers so we went to Costco with her in a diaper and a shirt. Talk about red neck. so we put this dress on her and Nathan said she looked like Homer in a mumu. What a day.

Sofie has a few favorite things right now including tractors bikes(motorcycles) and airplanes. I think she will be a lot of fun for her cousins to hang out with in a couple of weeks.

(side note: my brain is fried so I know there are spelling mistakes in here, but I just can't think of how they are spelled.)
