I've been tagged

I had a hard time coming up with 7 interesting things about me, so if they are not that interesting just pretend like they are.

1. I graduated High School 3 months early.

2. After years of hating onions I now love them. Especially sauteed on chicken tacos, add chipotle hot sauce and you have one great meal.

3. I will not eat seafood. The thought makes me want to gag.

4. I have a degree in accounting from LDS Business college.

5. I hate math (my husband loves it, good thing for our kids)

6. I was president of Institute Women's Association in college. ( kind of like a sorority)

7. I worked in a pork processing plant doing payroll for somewhere around 300 employees. (and I don't miss it)

I tag Andrea, Marli, Christel, Riki, and Jeanie. I don't know if half of these women read my blog. If you do and you have already done this just count that.

A new look for the blog

As you can hopefully see I have changed the look of the blog. I was looking for something new and different, sometimes you just need that. Well in the process of change I lost just about everything (not like there was much to begin with). So I am slowly but surely getting everything back in order, not an easy task with an eighteen month old running around. As you can see by the number of posts in January the blog is not my top priority, but I will try and be better. So here are some pictures that have been taken over the last couple of weeks.Auntie Em's visit.
A cute dress from Aunt Lanita and Uncle Shawn.
Messing around with Mom and Dad.

Mom: How old are you?
Sofie: (see picture) followed by lots of applause

Sofie

Here are some pictures of the little monkey. She is so funny and getting so big. Auntie Em just arrived today and both her and Sofie are sleeping. Emily left the house at 4:45 this morning and was exhausted.
Some new boots from the local second hand store. They are size 7 so they don't really fit.
One morning I was cleaning in her room and heard some noises in the kitchen I walked out to find her sitting on the chair drinking from my glass that she had to stand up on the chair to get. Then obviously she thinks she is cute (well maybe she is).
This is a Mary costume my mom made her to act out the Christmas Story. I think it might fit for a couple of years.

Last Friday we went for a walk in the morning. These pictures are from when we got home. She stayed like this the whole time. She had so many layers on, when we got home and took them all off she was roasting.

Merry Christmas

We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and received everything they wished for. We had a very enjoyable day. We opened presents with Sofie this morning, she was so fun to watch. She was really into opening the presents and playing with the toys all day today. The big hits were her baby doll and baby stroller and her tunnel system. She had a blast.

Are there any more in there?

This afternoon we went over to our neighbors house and had lunch with them. They made a pork loin and mashed potatoes that were delicious and a spinach salad with homemade dressing. We left with the recipes for almost everything there. Then we played games and enjoyed visiting with them. We then left and headed straight for Jacob and Andrea's house were we had the full turkey meal. TOO MUCH FOOD, but it was all great. I made an apple pie but everyone was too full to eat any, maybe tomorrow. We have had such an enjoyable past couple of days and are very grateful for the many blessing that we have been given.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas Eve

This morning we went out to breakfast at Market Street Grill. They have a really good breakfast for a really good price. Then we went to Temple Square to see the Christus Statue, Sofie was in awe of how big Jesus was. She sure had fun. She just kept saying Jesus the whole time. It was fun to watch her.

Family Picture
On our way out (a personal favorite)
The trip home (this didn't take long)

Then tonight we went over to John Paul and Peggy's parents house. We had great food and a really good time. It was nice to spend some time with them. The weather was bad and I was nervous to go but we were both glad we did. When we got in the car we both said we wished we could have stayed but it was past Sofie's bed time. There was a little dog there that Sofie just loved and the dog liked her too. They say it's rare for the dog to like kids, Sofie followed that dog around the whole time unless someone was offering her food and then she and the dog were both trying to get it. We forgot out camera so no pictures but it was cute.

We hope everyone has a great Christmas. We'll blog again soon.

I know it's been a while

We went to Great Harvest bread store to get Nathan's boss a present and Sofie got a piece of white cinnamon raisin bread. I gave it to her while I stopped by Joann's and all the way to Nathan's work. She was quite the whole time. She loved it and ate just about the whole thing. Too bad I didn't get a loaf.
This is Sofie and Nathan's boss Julie opening her present to Sofie. She got some pajama's and books. The books make sounds to go along with the story and Sofie loved them. She played with them the whole drive home and was quite content. It was great. And then Sofie showing off her new pj's.
We had our good friends the Cox's over the other day and Sofie and Garrion were watching a movie. Poor Garrion didn't really get to watch the movie because Sofie decided that he need lots of hugs, which were really attacks. But Garrion sat there and took it, He is a really good kid.

Just some cute pictures

Sofie and I were messing around the other day and putting as many hats on her head that would fit. As you can see only two made it to the pictures.
